For those who want to reach Garda Trentino by car the fastest way is the A22 motorway (Modena – Brennero). The recommended exit is that of Rovereto Sud – Lago di Garda Nord which is 17 km from Riva; coming from the north you can also exit at Trento Centro and then continue for Riva del Garda along the SS 45b for about 40 km. From Brescia you arrive at Riva del Garda (80 km) along the Gardesana Occidentale (SS 45 bis); the stretch between Gargnano and Riva is rather narrow and with many tunnels. The Eastern Gardesana (SS 249) is wider and smoother, but during the tourist season traffic slowdowns can occur.

To reach Garda Trentino by bus there are direct connections from Trento and Rovereto (Trentino Trasporti Bus); from Verona, Desenzano and Peschiera (Autobus A.T.V.) and during the summer (from mid-June to the end of September) from Venice (Autobus A.T.V.)

Here are the nearest airports:

The nearest airport to the northern part of Lake Garda is Verona – Villafranca Valerio Catullo (85 km)

Other important airports are: Bergamo Orio al Serio (130 km), Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa (210 km), Venice Marco Polo (210 km), Bologna G. Marconi (210 km) and Treviso (220km).

From Verona Villafranca Airport there is an Aerobus service to the Verona railway station and operates every day every 20 minutes.

For those arriving at Lake Garda by train the nearest train station is Rovereto (Brennero line) 20 km from Riva del Garda. A Trentino Trasporti bus service connects Rovereto with Torbole, Riva and Arco.

For those arriving by train from Milan or Venice there is the possibility to get off at Desenzano, Peschiera or Verona.

From here you can take the A.T.V. (Transport Company Verona) towards Riva del Garda.

The Deutsche Bahn also provides a link service (5 times a day) with the Rovereto train station.
